Cassidy is 5 years old today. We're hoping to have a friends party (weather permitting) on Saturday, but we had a family celebration tonight. Cassidy chose to eat at Applebee's because she likes the bread that comes with the mac n cheese.
We then came home for birthday cookie (her choice) and pre
sents.Notice the wording on the
cookie. This was Cassidy's choice as well.
This is our backyard after the ice storm. The neighbors' tree is on our fence, but didn't quite reach the playhouse. Every bradford pear tree in the area is history.
Going for 3 days without power forced us to use our imaginations to entertain ourselves. The girls did a puppet show for me and performed some songs. They were fabulous! We are now back to enjoying our heat, lights, and electronics. We are truly thankful for that.

I think I'm seeing a trend here... didn't Cassidy choose a "cookie" cake last year? Happy Birthday little Miss Cassidy!
We're so thankful you have your power back on and can enjoy some of the true luxuries that we count as essentials! We used to have Bradford pears too, then the ice came....
