Catching up

I have been having difficulties loading photos lately. I've finally figured it out, so here goes.Chinese New Year this year was celebrated at home. Courtney (with a little help from Mom) made delicious cashew chicken. Our forever family day tradition is to go to PF Chang's for dinner. Here's the forever sisters outside the restaurant. Memaw and Aunt V joined us and we all had a great time.
Dad had a day off recently and we all enjoyed the unusually nice February weather to go to a local park. As Cassidy said, "We went 'sploring!" After I took this picture, Cassidy kept running from tree to tree and posing again. She's not a ham, no way. On the other hand, I tried to get Courtney to pose and she just made goofy faces.
Here's my Courtney with a new little friend who gets her to smile a lot. Meet our new puppy, Lily. I can't believe we agreed to a second dog, but look at those eyes - the blue ones! Need I say more? So far, the puppy has really been good. I'll keep you posted on that!

Last but not least, Cassidy is well known in the family for falling asleep in odd places. To follow are just a few recent ones.

I should probably explain this one. Cassidy was doing her nightly goofy tricks and she landed awkwardly on her elbow. A visit to the after hours clinic resulted in a visit the next day to an orthopedic dr. They concluded (after much screaming, 6 x-rays, and who knows how much $) that her elbow was sprained. About a week later, she still had very little mobility in the arm and is was still painful. One night while tucking her into bed, Matt forgot about the hurt arm and lifted it up quickly to tickle her. The arm popped LOUDLY and Cassidy just screamed. Matt was sure he "broke" her, but we got her calmed down and asleep. The next morning when she woke up, Cassidy came running into the room flexing and twisting and bending that arm every which way saying, "Look Mommy! Daddy fixed it!" Apparently, it was out of place and Matt accidentally popped it back in. Boy, are we thankful for that little accident. She's good as new.

Oh my! Poor baby! Halli knows just how those ouchie arms feel. I LOVE the sleeping photos... if only my girls would fall asleep like that. Too cute. and some quiet time for mom? a girl can hope.

Oh my, Martha, I just cringed when I read about Matt popping Cassidy's arm back into place (accidentally!) Glad to hear she's feeling better.
