Reunion

One of the bonuses of adopting is that you often get to make new friends through shared experiences. Every spring, we have a group of friends that get together to celebrate the anniversary of bringing our children home from China. We didn't have the privilege of traveling with all of these folks, but we did share the wait together. This is truly a very special group of people and we are very blessed to know them.
Cassidy shares some crafting time with her very good friend H. H's little sister came home just two weeks after Cassidy. This is a wiggly crew and I didn't manage to get one good "whole" group shot, but here's Cassidy with a few of her "China friends."
Here's the big sister, Courtney. She gets to be big sister to several little ones every year at this event. A, the little girl looking at Courtney (left) lived in the same orphanage as Cassidy. She loves to play with Courtney! We traveled with her family. The little boy on Courtney's lap is A's brother. He has been home a little over a year. He was the only little boy at our reunion, but he sure didn't seem to mind. This crazy guy is A's dad. Cassidy wanted a pony ride down a very step hill. The horse broke down (on purpose).
Kids and parents alike had a great time!

I bet that little guy REALLY won't mind when they all hit those late teen years. :) Do you think our kiddos will still allow us to get them together when they are older? If not, we parents can still have fun and talk about the "good old days" when our kids had time for us... It was a GREAT weekend!! Thanks for all you did!

We loved seeing you guys again! I always wish that the day didn't fly by so quickly!
